Colored files on ls in bash

Issue:
You want to have files colored when issuing the 'ls' command in a bash terminal.

Solution:
Add this to your .bash_profile:

alias ls='ls --color=auto'
alias dir='ls --color=auto --format=vertical'
alias vdir='ls --color=auto --format=long'
